A large wood fired (anagama) bowl with kintsugi repair. Kintsugi (golden joinery) is the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with resin, lacquer and 24 carat gold dust.

During my volatile anagama (5 day) wood firing process, ceramic pieces often get damaged. This bowl has been painstakingly repaired using the traditional materials and process and features two gold spots where it was previously damaged during the firing.
