A large handmade vase in Beetle glaze.

Wheel-thrown using heavily grogged and textural iron-rich Cornish stoneware clay.

All my glazes are hand-mixed in small batches from natural base ingredients. The glaze Beetle is a dramatic satin matte glaze. The name is inspired by the scarab beetle, is it darkest green or deep black?

Use: A centrepiece for flowers or simply to enjoy as a sculptural form.
